So you’re coming to Waiheke….

•  It’s not that hard and we would like to make your visit to our beautiful island even easier. Here is what we can do for you. 

Waiheke United Travel Procedure

• We will pick you up from the ferry and deliver you back after the game.             (Up to a reasonable number of people.)

• Please contact the Waiheke Manager early in the week and give them an indication of numbers coming.

• This is so we can organize your teams tickets and arrange for your transport.

• Fullers are our main sponsors, so we can offer you discounted ticket prices. $22.50 per adult and $11.50 per child.

• On top of this, for every 7 children traveling, Fullers offer one free adult ticket.

• That means for a team of 14, the Coach and Manager can travel for free.

• The tickets are organized and waiting for you at the Fuller’s Downtown Terminal or at Half Moon Bay.

• Please pay the Waiheke team manager once you get to Waiheke. Make cheques out to Waiheke United AFC.

• If time permits, many Waiheke teams like to have a post game snack and a cuppa.

• This is often to say thanks, to those teams who help us when travelling to away games by picking us up in Auckland.

• Remember to enjoy your time on Waiheke. Spend the afternoon here and use your tickets to go back later.

Directions to the Onetangi Sports Park:

• From Matiatia Wharf, travel through the first township called Oneroa.

• Stay on the Main Road towards Onetangi and continue through Surfdale.

• Travel past the ‘ROCKS’ Hotel, on your right at Ostend.

• Carry on past the Woolworth’s Supermarket on your left.

• After about 2 Km's, take the 2nd road on the right called O'Briens Road. It goes to Rocky Bay.

• The Sports field entrance is 200m on left.

Note: 

• The Main Road from Matiatia to the Sports Ground changes name frequently.

• It starts as Ocean View, then Surfdale, Causeway, Belgium, Onetangi. Total distance is approx 8km.
