Waiheke United AFC is
based at the Onetangi Sports Park, a brilliant complex created by Auckland City.
It includes 2
fully irrigated soccer pitches, 1 rugby field and 6 tennis courts.
Our club is one of the the strongest sporting groups on Waiheke with just
under 200 registered players. These players make up 10 Youth
teams, 3 Senior teams together with a Junior Academy. |
The Waiheke
United AFC constitution was first adopted at our 1989 Annual
General Meeting.
However the Waiheke Soccer Club has been well supported in one
form or another for over 20 years.

What does it take to make
this Club work?
VOLUNTEERS!
Many thanks to
everyone who has contributed to our Soccer Club in some
way over the years. We could not operate without your
valuable help and support. Volunteers are people who give their
time, knowledge and help because they care, not because
they get paid. Waiheke United AFC volunteers include
parents who support their kids and team, managers who
organize every aspect of running the team, coaches who guide our youngsters
and teach them skills and strategies and committee
members who keep the club running in terms of finance,
equipment, recruiting volunteers and liaising between
Soccer2 Auckland and our teams. It is extremely
important that we continue to invite people into our
club, that are not already involve. |
|
The mission
of the Waiheke United AFC is to provide, for people of all ages,
the opportunity to develop skills, sportsmanship and team spirit
through the enjoyment of the game of soccer. |
